Family!!!!!

Yay for email day! It's been quite the week and maybe not as eventful in finding new investigators, but nonetheless, quite the week!  I am so excited to email you as it was good to hear from you all and learn about your past week.  I was excited to know that you enjoyed the NBA finals.  I'm also glad that Sister McIver is off on her mission now. I think I will post her something so when anyone gets her MTC address can you please forward it to me.  Anyway's, good to hear you are all alive and well.  Just a quick update on my back progress, besides the Chiropractor and I becoming good friends due to my frequent visits to his clinic with my companion to sort out my back.  It is almost 100% better and today I am going to play volleyball which is probably the first real physical activity I've done in a while (other then walking) so we will see how it goes, but honestly, it is coming along great.

Anyway's here goes the week. After P-Day last week we realized we didn't have a dinner appointment so we went home and told Sister Christensen that we didn't have a dinner appointment and said we should all just go out to dinner. So we did and it was cool.  But, unbeknown to us, she paid for the whole meal which was wrong because we invited her to dinner.  She said she didn't mind paying.   Well, after dinner we went to Carol's house and helped clean out her fridge. So picture this - a loaded fridge (that is badly in need of a clean) that when I would pull out some dish or something with not even an inch of food left in it she would say, "No we need to keep that!" or like bottles of drink that were expired and I would say, "It's expired" and go to chuck it out and she would say, "So who says you can't eat or drink something after its expired?" I realized I'm pretty much a food snob because she wouldn't have had much left in her fridge after I cleaned it out if she wasn't watching me. I said, "My mum always says if its expired chuck it out!"  She laughed, only because she is like that.  We finished helping her to clean her fridge but in saying that, we put the majority of the food back in (expired and all) and she was so thrilled with what we did. It was crazy. I have several stories that I could share about Carol because she is possibly one of my favorite people here as she is so interesting.

Tuesday, we got to visit with Charmaine and it was awesome. We taught her about the gospel of Jesus Christ but my concern is that she thinks this gospel is good for us but not for her. She kept saying thats awesome you have seen it bless your life or whatever and I kept thinking it can bless your life too! But we will see what happens. I love that lady so much so it was good to be able to visit her. Then we decided to do what Elder Chadderton did and go member tracting around one of our Wards and it turned out to be really good. We got a few referrals and we also found a family that needed some service. They are moving soon, so we offered to come back and help them pack and stuff. Then we had dinner and then we went to visit a less active family. Oh my goodness we literally had just walked into the house and the lady had  a smirk on her face that was really strange and then I felt the spirit leave the minute after we entered their home. I sat down and was thinking, "Oh no, what's going on here?" Before we even got a word in she started going on about something this and something that and how her weight loss is more important to her then coming to church, and I clearly wasn't paying enough attention to what she was saying  (it was getting late) but as I tuned into what she was actually saying I said, "So you're not coming back to church?"  She then said, "Well, not anytime soon I'm not!" (This lady was active up until about 3 weeks ago.)   She then proceeded to tell us in a forceful kind of manner about how Joseph Smith got together and wrote the Book of Mormon and how the women should have the priesthood and how fake the members are when they share their testimonies and my goodness did her and her husband go on and on. I had the initial impression to just get up and yell at them and then walk out then I realized that it probably isn't the best representation of Christ so I sat on the couch praying that the Lord would soften my heart to know what they needed to hear, and in all honesty who knows what I said, but we ended with a prayer and got out of their as fast as we could. I honestly felt like crying walking out of that house because you could feel that Satan had wormed his way into their minds and hearts and had planted all this negative information that they were relishing in. Made me sick to see someone who knows the truth suddenly testify against it. Anyway's, it was a sad way to end an evening. It was around 9:00 p.m. so we went home and I needed to do anything to feel the spirit again after witnessing how vacant the spirit was in their home. In hind sight we shouldn't have let them continue on that long, but now we know for next time. That was such a sad experience!

Wednesday, we had an entire day of appointments booked from 10:00 a.m. right through until 7:00 p.m. but by 10:30 a.m. our first three appointments cancelled on us and so our next appointment wasn't until 2:30 p.m. which made for a long morning.  So we studied, then we went member tracting again and we met this less active guy who was trimming his hedges so we offered to help him, but instead he sat down and told us about himself and his family and why he doesn't go to church anymore. Then he invited us to be his escorts to a wedding, and he said if we spoke in church he would definitely be there. Old men are funny. Then we met this lady who is less active but she pretended like she wasn't, then we met another lady who literally was in the middle of a crisis so we did her dishes and tried to help as best we could. Eventually, lunch time arrived and we had our other appointments stick the rest of the evening. Overall, Wednesday was a good day. It's interesting getting to know the members in the area. When we have 6 Wards you barely know a handful of people so in getting out and meeting the members we actually help them to get to know us more and then we build trust and we also get to see what everyone is dealing with in their lives at the present moment. We generally have some good lessons after we get to know everyone. Like I said earlier a lot happened this week but not a lot in finding new investigators.

Thursday was weekly planning and it was awesome. Over and done with in less then 2 hours. Record timing if you ask me. Then we walked to our appointment and it was with Viet who we tracted into on Sister Bishaws first day. He was studying to be a catholic priest but he stopped 3 years shy of becoming one. He had a lot of questions, a lot, a lot of questions and we barely scratched the surface but it was cool because before we left he asked how come we were so sure the LDS church was right and we got to bear our testimonies and witness how through the Holy Ghost we know the truth of all things, and then he said, "I've never felt that about the catholic church", and he said, "I know if I find anything better then the catholic church I will definitely join that church", so we are actually really excited to see what happens with him, but the cooler thing is that we found him tracting. We don't do a lot of tracting  so it's cool to know we can meet interesting people when we are out tracting - DUH! Hahaha!  Anyway's, then we had a lesson with Anthony and we talked about prophets because he was struggling with that a little bit, but he is awesome. To see the sincere desire he has to really know if its true or not was awesome. Then that night we had a lesson with Ashlee who is supposed to be getting baptized on June 30th. We taught her the rest of the commandments and then we planned her baptism. We just found out we couldn't get the font for the time she wanted so we are still trying to organize what would work best for her. We will see what happens.

Friday was district meeting, then we saw Craige. Please keep craige in your prayers as he is getting a lot of slack from his parents about being LDS and Satan is clearly working real hard on him. I know he will be okay but we had a long lesson with him just listening to the trials he is facing. You know its true when Satan works that hard on someone. Anyway's, then we went to see a lady who unfortunately, wasn't home and so we decided to go tracting again because we had about 30 minutes before dinner. Funny story. The 1st door we knock on there is no answer, the 2nd door we knock on, an inactive LDS guy who wants nothing to do with the church answers, the 3rd door we knock on is an atheist who also wants nothing to do with religion but had a good chat with us, and so by this time I'm thinking, "I'm done, this is getting us no where!"  But, there is one more door in this apartment block and so we go to knock on the 4th door only to find a member who needs help getting permanent marker off her kitchen floor/ cupboards/ fridge because her son has just taken a permanent marker to the kitchen and she was super flustered. It was commical to me that almost every stereotype that you find tracting was all within 4 doors - the one that doesn't answer the door, the less active, the atheist and the active member.  A unique experience!   We went to dinner and then we went to contact a referral only to learn she is out of town for 2 weeks so we called it a night and headed home.

Saturday, we went to a baptism of the Gambino family. I have met them a couple of times but a senior couple was actually teaching them and they invited us to the baptism which was awesome. Then we had a brunch after and then we went and helped the one family that was moving to pack and my goodness their house was HUGE and they had a lot of work to do and it was only the mum and the daughter doing everything. Then we went to a Ward activity and after that we taught a lesson to a less active and then called it a night. We did alot of work with members this week.

Yesterday, was a good day. We text Taryn's Mum to see if she was going to come to church and she said she had woken up with a sore foot and she was in so much pain and she said she couldn't walk but if by 9:00 a.m. she was feeling better she may bring the kids to church. My companion and I immediately knelt down and prayed because we knew that the Lord could work miracles and get her foot feeling better and low and behold at 8:45 a.m. we get a text saying they are coming to church. Prayers really are answered. That was a cool experience. Then we went to a YSA correlation meeting, then to the YSA Ward and while we were their we were invited to dinner at this Tongan girls place because one of the recent converts was going to be their. So, we went to dinner after church and it was cool. Her brother is serving in NZ right now so it was cool to hear all the places he has served and stuff. I don't think he has been in our Ward, but who knows. Anyway's, then we attended a fireside for the YSA Ward too. Sister Christensen was telling us about this guy from the NY area who was the Director for Public and International Relations for the church in NY only to find out it was one of the Elders father. We went and it was the coolest fireside. He talked about pretty much doing missionary work but not at the same time and how different missionary work and public relations really are. He shared about all these diplomats and the connections they have been able to form and it was just cool. We got to meet him afterwards. Then it was home time.

Overall, we have done a lot of work with members this past week. This next week we have more finding to do and we probably won't be doing as much with the members but its nice to mix it up sometimes.  So interesting thing I realized this week, I was studying about Moses because I've decided to start studying the Old Testament and naturally you start in Moses according to the study schedule and it gives that scripture about how Moses realizes without God man is nothing and it made me realize besides the fact that its true, it made me realize that its very obvious in less active and non-member people. They seem to have less substance and less direction when they aren't doing the things the Lord would have them do their lives become nothing without the power of God to help them. It made me realize that many of them are less likely to be motivated to achieve something or do something with their lives because they see no point, so I had an epiphany while studying about Moses and realized we need God not only to grant us and bless us with talents and abilities to do things but also to enrich and make our lives worth living.  It made me realize that if we think we have a crappy life its probably because we're neglecting some part of the Saviours teachings.  Anyway's, food for thought!  I cannott believe this time next week we will be in July. Pretty much the year is almost over. Anyway's, I love you family! Keep enjoying the temple for me and Hinalei and Baby Joe of course. Take care, Sister Chadderton. P.s.  Sorry no cool pictures this week.

19 June 2012

Hello Family,

I hope you are all alive and well. Thank you for your emails and pictures. I am excited that Cola is home safe and sound and you are all enjoying good food. I am indeed alive and well. The rest of the week has been good. From Thursday onwards, I guess I don't have a lot to update you about, but things have been really good.

Thursday after I emailed, we went and had lunch, then we did weekly planning, then that night we went and saw one of our less active members who was in the hospital, then we stopped by and saw Levi, a kid who we have been teaching who has ADHD.  It was a very interesting discussion and trying to get him to focus on the lesson was a challenge. It taught me a lot about patience and the need to try new ways of teaching the gospel to children with ADHD. Then we went and had a BBQ with Bree and the King-horn Family and their neighbours. It was an awesome visit and Bree definitely does want to be baptized, but she is out of town for the next few weeks so we will get back in contact with her upon her return.

Friday was District meeting and my whole District has changed.  Its kind of weird, but a good weird. Anyway's then we saw Craige for the first time since his baptism and it would appear as if Satan has been working on him, but he is doing fine.  We talked a little about the priesthood and patriarchal blessings.  We then visited Lois who is an elderly lady that we do puzzles with. She is kinda less active so its cool doing puzzles with her and after we do puzzles we teach her a lesson.  Following the lesson we went and made dinner for the Webb Family because it was Brother Peter Webbs birthday and because Barb is still confined to the couch following surgery, we were happy to help cook and it felt so good to be cooking again! Pretty sure I'm going to start volunteering to make people dinner just so I can cook again in a full kitchen. I miss it!

Saturday was a good day. We saw a lot of less active people and we walked a heck of a lot more today then we have in the past. Only thing is, seriously there is hardly anybody on the streets on a Saturday. One would almost think that we live in a ghost town with the lack of people out walking, but everyone is just so busy that they take cars everywhere. We did have a cool experience where we were dropping off progress records to one of our Ward Mission Leaders and we ended up talking to his wife for a bit. Then as we were walking out I saw this girl walking on the street who is in the YSA Ward. Well, we stopped her and talked to her for a while and it was just interesting to see how the Lord puts you right where he needs you.  We needed to be talking to this particular person for many reasons.   Following our conversation, I was like, "We need to say a prayer!"  She looks at me like I'm crazy, because we're on the side walk, and I was like, "Well I will say it but we need to pray".   I kept thinking about how much I guess I've changed since being on my mission like saying a prayer on the sidewalk doesn't scare me and talking to people about the gospel doesn't scare me. It is so cool because everything we do as missionaries can be traced back to the Saviour and his gospel.  That night we visited some other less active people and then headed home.

Sunday was Father's Day. Who knew? So, "Happy American Father's Day Dad!"  Funny story because on Mother's Day all the talks were about mothers and how amazing and awesome they are and yesterday the talks were on things like missionary work or random topics that weren't really related to fathers. It was almost non-existent which was kinda sad. But at the same time people didn't seem to matter. We went to several different Wards and one of our investigators by the name of Taryn actually came to church for the entire three hour block and it was awesome.   More importantly, her mum and brother came too.  That was so cool to see.  That night we had Father's Day dinner with one of our Ward Mission Leaders family where we helped make the dessert and it was a lot of fun.  We made a dessert similar to caramel slice but we had put in a layer of a kinda pudding/frosting in the middle instead of caramel. It was pretty good.   After dinner we visited a few more people then called it a night.

Overall, the week has been good. My companion Sister Bishaw is awesome. There is a lot that we need to do for this area so we will see what this week brings but it has been a good start to the transfer.  Funny thing,  whenever I introduce members to my new companion they always give me a hard time, because in 3 months I am onto my 5th companion.   The jokes keep flowing like, "Oh you must be the trouble sister in the mission that's why you have so many companions" or "You must be hard to get along with that's why you have so many companions!"  I laugh, then agree and then laugh and joke about it, then they get serious and then they comment and say, "But you're not hard to get along with and you're not any trouble!  Meridian is treating me well and I love it here and I love the people.

Anyway's, today was P-Day and don't worry I won't be doing any back flips or front flips on the trampoline for the rest of my mission.  I stayed completely grounded these past few days and I did get a chance to get my hair cut.  The hairdresser took quite a bit off and when I get a chance, I will take some pictures so you can see how short it is now. Other then that, not a lot else has happened. Oh, I finally received my bank card from Hawaii, so that was excellent.   Enjoy the next six weeks Cola because after that you will join the ranks!  Love you all. Take care, Sister Chadderton xoxo

12 June 2012

Family!

Oh hallelujah its Monday again! Thank you for all your emails. You all sound well and alive and happy and but may be a little cold.

Anyway's, this week has been hectic, crazy and good all at the same time. Last P-Day we went to this place called,  "Jump Time" and it was really cool. They have a tonne of trampolines and you get to do all kinds of jumps and flips. Well, everyone else was doing flips but I was too scared to have a go and by the end of the activity one of the elders had enough patience to teach me so I finally learnt how to do a front flip.  Surprisingly, It was fun.   After that my companion and I went and did some shopping and I know I definitely brought way too much stuff - a couple  of dresses and tops that I just couldn't say no to. That night  our investigator Anthony interviewed with President Cannon again and he is doing good.   The same night a huge storm hit and their was lightning and thunder and really strong winds so we decided to stay close to home. During the day we received a call from a lady saying her friend had just committed to being baptized and she just needed us to teach her the lessons.  (Bytheway, this never happens!)  So we called her friend and set up an appointment for the next day. Her baptism is planned for June 30th. It was a great P-Day!

On Tuesday afternoon we went and had lunch and then we had an appointment with Bree.  After teaching Bree we were off to teach Ashley - the girl with the baptismal date. It was a cool lesson and I felt very comfortable and Ashley is so cool. Then we had to head to the mission office to drop off some stuff, then we had dinner with a member family and then we went and saw Kristin that night and she is in packing mode because she is moving.  It is a little sad but she told us about everything that was happening in her life. She is doing good  and she said we can come over on Saturday and help her pack up her beds and she said to invite the Elders in the Eagle area to come over too because she wanted to feed us all dinner before she left so we set that up for Saturday. Then we headed home for the night.

The next day was our last district meeting before transfers and we had it at the Senior couples home. They made a BBQ for us and they even had shrimp.  It was so awesome. It was sad in a way because some of the people in our district will leave after transfers so having this BBQ was kinda like the last time we will see most of them. Then we had a few lessons, and later had dinner and then we went to see Matthew!!!!! I was so excited that they were temporarily back in town for a bit so I could see them again. It was so good catching up with them. They are doing so good. We finished the night with them.

Thursday was another good day. We had weekly planning and I managed to survive the whole thing without complaining once which is a miracle because I am not a big fan of weekly planning. Then we went and visited a few people and then we went to the Chipman's home for dinner.  Sister Chipman's maiden name is actually Sister Te'o whos parents were Mission Presidents in Samoa while we were there.  We walked into the Chipman's home and Sister Chipman's parents were there and her mum - Sister Te'o - was like, "Oh you look so much like your mum!"  And then Brother, or President Te'o recognized me he gave me a huge hug.  It was fun.   It was also heaps fun to eat banana and rice and pisupo and stuff again. They even made panipopo and it was awesome!  Theres a tradition in the mission field that after 2 years you burn a suit and so a couple of Elders had hit that point and were on their way home so we stopped in to watch the, "Suit burning ceremony!"  I won't ever be burning a suit. It was interesting.

Friday was a long day.  Firstly, we had a lesson with Ashley in the morning which was great but the whole day we were anticipating transfer calls. Several people kept saying I would be leaving Meridian and training in a new area and I didn't feel anything either way so needless to say I wanted the day to go quickly so we could get the call but it dragged on!  After teaching Ashley we had lunch, then we saw Carol who is probably one of my most favorite people in this area. She is crazy, but awesome at the same time. Reminds me alot of Becky Farley from Emmett. Then we taught Anthony and he seemed so burdened down by his thoughts it was sad. I wanted to like lift this burden from his shoulders but nothing we said would be of any comfort. I know he will find the comfort and solace he is seeking soon enough but he just didn't seem happy. He had way too much on his mind. Then we had dinner with a member family, and then we went and met this Korean family so Sister Lee could talk with them. It was cool listening to Sister Lee speak Korean. Then the call finally came! I am staying in Meridian and training a new missionary. Sister Howard is going to Boise, and Sister Lee will be getting a new trainer. So I was fine with that because I can handle staying and I know training will help keep me in line. I find out on Wednesday who my new companion is and stuff and I will email you again on Wednesday when I take her to do her emails. Friday night finally ended. It seemed like a very, very, long day!

Saturday was good. We went to a few baptisms because people who live in our area were being taught by other missionaries and we were asked to be there to support them. Then we went to Eagle to help Kristin pack and it was so sad saying goodbye to her. She will leave, the Elders are getting split up,  Sister Howard will be leaving so their were a lot of pictures taken and a lot of goodbyes said. I am just grateful I got to see Kristin enter the waters of baptism. That night we went to another baptism and we took some elders with us. Then we went home so Sister Howard and Sister Lee could pack!  It was a really long Saturday too. That night,  I got a call from the AP's asking if I would be willing to be a companion to a Senior sister on Monday because the AP's needed her husband for something. This would mean I wouldn't get a P-Day.  I told them I would be fine but I was so sad i wouldn't be getting a P-Day. That night I really didn't sleep well because I was stressing too much about all the changes happening.

Sunday was good and we went to church, then more packing, then we went to the Webb's home for dinner and to say goodbye, then we had a correlation meeting with the Locust Grove Ward members and I was feeling so sick,  stressed, and a little overwhelmed by all the changes that were happening so I asked the WML to give me a blessing.  We finally went home and learnt that I don't have to give up my P-Day and that  I wasn't needed as a companion anymore.  There seemed to be a lot of confusion about transfers and who needed to be where. So, we called the elders and asked if they wanted to drive Sister Lee and I around for some of the day because neither of us could drive and Sister Howard had to be at the mission office at 6:30 a.m.  So, needless to say it's been crazy. I didn't sleep well last night either. I really need to start running. I am sure that too much energy plus too much on my mind makes for absolutely no sleep.  I realized the more stressed I am the more my stomach plays up. So note to self - deal better with stress! Just relax!

Well, I did have a cool experience last night where I was trying to fall asleep but I couldn't so I decided I would open my Book of Mormon and read, just to see if that would tire me out. While I was reading in the book of Jacob I got to the chapter on the Allegory of the Olive tree and I really didn't feel like facing the allegory so I put my Book of Mormon down and I decided to just pray.   I wanted to just pour out everything that I was feeling  and thinking so I literally had a very long conversation with my Father in Heaven.  While I was praying I started to think that maybe I didn't trust in Him as much as I thought I did. I kept stressing about different things and how things would turn out and what I needed to do etc etc etc.  Then, l I realized again that He already knows whats going to happen.  He is aware of everything.  Here I am trying to fit these puzzle pieces together when actually He already has the puzzle together I just need to learn to truly trust him.  I then received this overwhelming sense of what I needed to do and the spirit said, "Yes Sister Chadderton its time to really start trusting me!"  So, that was my cool and very interesting experience. Do I know what I need to change to have the greater trust? No. But it will come. Its just very interesting how the Lord works. But he does love me and he trusts me so we will see how this transfer goes. I'm nervous, but confident that everything will be fine. Oh and Sister Cline is training as well.  That is awesome news.

Well,  this morning we dropped Sister Howard off to the mission office, then we got dropped home and I cleaned our apartment. It was a little messy and got a bit out of hand in the past few weeks with 3 of us in a small space. Now we're emailing. I am excited for what lays ahead today.   I hope you are all doing good. The church really is true.  I enjoyed reading Rickys testimony. Christ really is the center. Hope you have a good week. Take care, love you all. Sister Chadderton xoxoxo

5 June 2012

Family,

Yay P-Day again! I am pretty sure that it blows my mind just how much things can change in one week.  I feel like I have so much to update you on. This week has been hectic to say the least!  But, I am glad you have all had an awesome week and yay for a boy!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited for another boy. You should call him? Nah jokes!  I'll let you all decide but let me know the name when you do.  Anyway's,  my week - are you ready for this?

Monday after P-Day we headed out to Emmett where we got to stop by and see the Earl family! Honestly, it was so cool seeing them again and they were so excited to update me about their lives. What is cool is that Jami their 7 year old is to be baptized on Saturday so they asked if I would be able to come. I told them I would ask President Cannon and then let them know. Anyway's, I was companion's with a Sister Romine-Furr for the night and we all headed back to Meridian to settle down.

Tuesday morning we went and saw a few people, and then we went by the Mission Office to pick up my new companion Sister Lee. We had such a busy Tuesday already planned that it felt like our day was going to be a bit like a circus because I was with a different companion, then a new companion all in the space of a short time.   We had lunch and a lesson with Bree and later, we had a lesson with Ivy.  Bit of sad news in that Ivy's mum doesn't want her baptized this soon. She wants Ivy to show more commitment so she is making her wait. It was sad but I know she will eventually be baptized. Following the lesson, we took Sister Lee to do her emails and buy some groceries and then we met up with  Sister Howard again and headed home. Poor Sister Lee was exhausted by the time we got home.

Wednesday we had District meeting and interviews with President Cannon and in his interview with me he said that I will probably be staying and training Sister Lee for the next two transfers which is what I had guessed.   After interviews we went and had district lunch and then we went and taught a few lessons. The night ended with us helping the Webb's to organize for their son to return home. It was a good day.

Thursday we had a really weird weekly planning session.  Brother Pine from Shoshone came up to Meridian and wanted to say hi, then we found out that the stake center we had Craige's baptism planned at was booked so we had to call around to find a chapel building where we could hold Craige's baptism. It's crazy because here only the stake centers have fonts but the first Saturday of every month they have stake 8 year old baptisms so almost all the chapels close by are booked.  But, through the tender mercies of the Lord we finally found a free font to use on Saturday. That night we taught Bree again and she dropped us home (we have been asked to walk more) and as she was taking us home she expressed all these concerns about things going on in her life and she was unsure exactly what she should be doing. She kept saying she has big decisions to make but I don't know if I am ready to make them -  baptism being one of them - so we are continuing to encourage her to pray about baptism.

Friday was a good day. We taught Craige's last lesson and then he had his baptismal interview.  We went and taught a few more lessons and walked A LOT!  The reason they want us to walk more is so we can meet more people. So, that was a good day. We also helped a lady roll yarn and then we walked on home for the evening and may have run through some sprinklers on the way home.

Saturday! This is where the exciting stuff happens. So, Craige's baptism is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. today, so we did our studies and other stuff in the morning and then we went to lunch before heading to the Chapel to set up for the baptism. I was so nervous that this baptism wasn't going to happen because this was the 4th baptismal date that we have set for Craige and he did not show up for the other three.  Well, low and behold, sigh, sigh, he came and I got to speak at his baptism and while he had no family support there were plenty of Ward members in attendance and friend support so that was good to see. He also bore his testimony after his baptism and it was mighty powerful. It was so cool to see him actually get baptized.  After Craige's baptism the Earl Family came and picked us up to go to Jami's baptism. I honestly cannot describe how it felt to see a family who was just recently baptized to be progressing so well.  What made it more joyful was to be in attendance at their daughters baptism.  Mart had the Melchizedek priesthood now and my heart was filled with joy as I watched the whole baptism happen. Seeing the growth in the family, seeing the excitement in Jami and knowing that Mart is a worthy priesthood holder was humbling. During intermission while the kids were getting changed we normally sing songs so a few songs had been sung and then the Bishop got up and invited me to come and bare my testimony. Needless to say I cried through the whole thing because of how overwhelmed I felt with joy. It makes missionary work so worth it, the hard times, the tears everything so worth it to see joy in a family because they now know the truth. It's so hard to describe but I know you know what I mean.

Anyways then Sunday we got to see Craige confirmed and he got an awesome blessing. It was almost like a patriarchal blessing, it was powerful. Then last night we taught Anthony and then we went and saw the Sager family and we had an awesome conversation with Dan (who is not a member) about the church and he knows its true.  He is slowly working on changing his habits and making sure he is ready to be a full worthy priesthood holder when he does join the church.

So family, it has been an amazing week.  Oh, I forgot to mention on Thursday morning I got a call from President Cannon again saying he just realized neither I nor Sister Lee drive, so we actually won't be together like he originally thought. He said I will still be training a new missionary this next transfer but it probably or most definitely won't be Sister Lee. So thats real sad news. I am anxious to see what happens this next transfer. Also, I talked to President about getting my licence and he said I have enough stress in my life and not to worry about getting it and to just concentrate on missionary work.

Well, thats my week. It has been an incredible week, totally motivating to keep me doing missionary work. I love you all. Enjoy the pictures. Take care, Sister Chadderton xoxoxox
